It’s already happening. Like guys I cannot emphasize this enough the studios are going to make content creators the deal of a lifetime because they have a void to fill and those content creators will then be on the do not work list for the rest of their professional lives.
There’s going to be a LOT of attempts to get people to scab.
…People who scab during a strike don’t get to join the union. Ever.
Studios are going to try to claim “hey here’s your chance to get a start on this career.” They lie. This is a chance to end this career. Sure, they can get a few weeks or months work during the strike. Maybe even have a contract for a year or two, if they’re savvy.
And then their career in Hollywood is over. No more work, ever, because they can’t join the union and the studios can’t hire outside of the union.
Oh, and they’ll have trouble getting jobs anywhere else in the entertainment industry, because unions remember who the scabs were.
My favourite thing about tumblr, that in my opinion makes it far superior to other social media sites, is that new posts live side by side with old posts. These days, there’s a prioritization of new content. It not only shortens the lifespan of people’s work, memes and such, but it also devalues the work that goes into making certain things.
Sure, a lot of posts are just random thoughts spewed into the ether, but some posts are carefully crafted videos, photos, artwork, prose, that take the creator a considerable amount of time and effort to craft. So, as a content creator, it’s nice to see that you can put work into a piece of content on here and it can have a life of its own. Unlike other platforms where posts live and die in a matter of day, sometimes, hours
actually you know what that’s exactly it i would rather someone add 5 parantheticals after every sentence than use tone indicators it’s 1. accomplishing SO much more in terms of clarity 2. extremely funny to look at depending on how they’re used

(genuine question) (can’t tell) (very realistic) (looks real) (scary) (photoshop?)” — is not only incredibly clear it’s also very funny to read all of these thoughts stapled together while also in their own parentheses. it’s also the most useful because now i can actually address all parts of what they are asking me with as much specificity as BOTH of us need
Hi, I hate doing this ❤️ my name is miguel, I’m a non binary brazilian trans guy and i suffer from bipolarity mood disorder and hidradenitis suppurativa (chronic pain condition, DO NOT google if squeamish). I am here once again to ask for groceries and medication (especially medication).
I have food to last me still half a week, but now I also have to ask for medication. I can get Rivotril and Fluoxetine at Brazil’s public health system, but the medication that controls my mood, I have it for about one week-ish and it is the most expensive of the bunch. Each box of Quetiapine costs $260 brazilian reais and considering I need 6 boxes, let’s see the results directly with Google:

This ASAW, I’d like to make a quick post talking about queerplatonic relationships and why the term is used, as many people mistakenly believe it’s a useless synonym for friends.
To start, the “queer” in “queerplatonic” is not the same as queer as in LGBT+. Queer here is referring to strangeness; to how these kinds of relationships are outside the norm. And that’s the point, really – queerplatonic relationships are relationships that do not fit into the expectations for platonic and romantic relationships, thus “queering the platonic.” You don’t have to be queer as in LGBT+ to use the term “queerplatonic,” because the term does not inherently have anything to do with whether a person using it is LGBT+.
The term is, however, inherently connected to the aro community, because it originated from there. Those who do not experience romantic attraction and thus are less likely to enter romantic relationships decided they needed a term to describe their relationships that are different from typical romantic ones but are also different from typical friendships. Over time, it also spread to ace spaces, and today is used regardless of sexual or romantic orientation.
Going back for a minute to explain this concept better – what do I mean when I say “queering the platonic” or “not fitting into the expectations for platonic and romantic relationships?” Well…
Doing traditionally romantic things (such as cuddling, kissing, or going on dates) with someone you have a platonic bond with.
Living together/sharing taxes, getting married/raising children/etc with other typical adult things with someone you have a platonic bond with.
Having multiple consensual relationships.
And more examples that I can’t think of as of right now.
Oftentimes, mentions of these sorts of things in queerplatonic relationships is met with “But friends can do all those things!” and, sure, but the question is not ability. It’s normality.
Is it normal to see two friends getting married platonically? If I went to a school and took a survey, could Iexpect at least a few students to say their parents are not and have never been romantically involved? Can I walk over to the romance section of my local bookstore and see a good selection of polyamorous representation and have that be the usual sight on a trip to that store?
No, no, and no.
These things are not normalized. That is why we have queerplatonic, because to have strong bonds that are not strictly romantic and monogamous yet involve activities that are commonly considered to occur in romantic relationships are not normalized, or even considered acceptable by some people.
Yeah, sure, queerplatonic partners can be friends. They can have a strictly platonic bond. They don’t have to use this term to describe their relationship.
But I’m not seeing any stories at my local bookstore about someone deciding to move across the ocean and live with someone they do not want to be romantically involved with while also being in a romantic polyamorous relationship with several other people, now am I?
That’s why we use queerplatonic.
Tl;dr: Queerplatonic relationships are not about whether the people in them are LGBT+ or if the relationship is both non-romantic and non-platonic; they’re about if a relationship goes against amatonormativity and relationship norms.

i have an opposite of bullying technique every artfight where i sniff out ppl who are like 13 and i mass compliment their stuff w a drawing. everyone should do this. get your friends to do it, like a biker gang
i articulated this rather sloppily so, agreeing with people in the tags, encouraging kids with ocs from fandoms you may have grown up with that were seen as “cringey” is incredibly cathartic. giving art to beginner or struggling artists boosts their spirit during artfight as well. you or a group of your friends showing anyone who might be ignored because of their interests or their skill not being “good enough” that You Care is just a cool thing to do and will probably make your younger self happy too. if you have the time, go for it!
I usually search for people that haven’t recieved any art yet, so yeah, you should totally do this!

In the recent Undertale newsletter, Toby Fox showed off an unused scene that would have occurred in the Judgement Hall had the player decided to speedrun the game! This scene features Sans chastising the player for being early and slowly eating an ice cream for about a full minute while an original, slow song plays. I’m sure this would have been quite a headache for speedrunners!
